Description | Meet Gonka. He’s sort of a jerk and he’s entirely certain that he’s better than you. But really, who can blame him for thinking that? He’s a boxing Dragon.
Gonka is a new exercise that went from concept art to complete render. Modeled and lit in Maya, unwrapped in UV Layout, textured in Photoshop and Mudbox, and rendered with mentalray, with a hint of nCloth on his shorts. Showcase consists of turntable, wireframe, and detail renders.

Description | Alongside Jacob Fradkin, Gleezu is the star of the self-titled short developed to demonstrate a continued interest in the development of our animation skills. Created in just a few weeks, the short makes heavy use of the Mudbox-to-Maya workflow, with various displacement maps being sculpted in Mudbox and utilized as displacement maps in Maya.

Every action that occurs within the physical trading card game has a corresponding animation, a few of which can be seen below.
Tin Woodsman Showcase
Description | The trusty metallic denizen of Oz, who accompanies Dorothy on her journey home so that he can get a new heart. He has been designed from the ground up for LexiConquest.He was developed using Maya, Photoshop and Mental Ray MIA and DGS Rendering Materials. Here we see a few of the animations, including “Arrival” and “Attack” animations, that occur when an action is taken with Tin Woodsman’s Card within the physical card game.

Description | The fatalist traveler from Kurt Vonnegut’s Slaughterhouse Five, accompanied by a Tralfalmadoran, a member of an all-knowing alien race. Like Tin Man, Billy’s design was made specifically for LexiConquest.

Description | 10-week Team Based project utilizing a fully developed character pipeline for our hero, Chet Broski. My specific responsibilities include environment modeling, texturing, facial construction and blend shape development, Shave development, some lighting and some animation.

Purgabot

Description | 5 week introductory course in which we were responsible from the ground up for a short animation involving a robot character (or characters, as in this instance– the titular Purgabot, the good “Uriel Mech” the and evil “Crow Dance”). As individuals, this brisk assignment concerned us with the entire 3D pipeline, from character and environment modeling and texturing to rigging and animation.
